6 weeks £90 includes materials and sketchbook
Develop your sketchbook skills including
-observational drawing
-making more lively and expressive images
-using mixed media including watercolours, collage, and ink
-making your sketchbook yours
-exploring ideas
-encouraging an ongoing sketchbook habit
Dana Cafe is the perfect informal setting in a relaxed and friendly environment. You can purchase cakes and drinks in the break if you wish
There will be an opportunity to purchase hot drinks and sometimes cakes during the break
Outdoor Sketching 8 week course 24th April - 12th June - Based at Dana cafe with an hour or more sketching on BoleHills each session. Join us for a deep dive into all the skills and tips you need for inspiring and fun outdoor sketching. See here for inspiration.
If the weather is wet for a session we will continue in doors. Warm clothes and a flask of tea recommended. All materials provided plus sketchbooks £120 Contact me if these costs are beyond your means to enquire about accessing a concessionary place

Join our Online Creative Studio Space
click here for more info Give yourself 10 session of uninterrupted time each week to settle into your own projects at home. Experience the support of being in a community space of fellow makers Costs £60 for 10 sessions 6.30pm - 9pm Each week we get together briefly at the start to say hello and share our plans, and then we leave our laptops/ computers in the back ground while we explore our own projects. At the end of the session we can share how we’ve been getting on. Alternatively you may wish to miss the talking bits and simply join in for the making. You can choose to join in as little or as much as you wish and you can come and go while the session is running Plus - There will be an opportunity to become part of a Postal Sketchbook Group |
Fantastic Focusing Summer School which is open to beginners and provides a wonderful opportunity to take a deep dive into this body-based practice. I love Focusing and it has helped my creativity to unfold - I’m helping organise the school - more info here

This course brings together aspects of creative writing and illustration to explore personal storytelling through pictures. In structured sessions, learn how to generate ideas and explore themes
through playful activities and short writing exercises. Discover how to use simple and expressive watercolour techniques, and to combine them with collage and other materials. We will also explore ways of working with found images using layering and tracing techniques. There will be opportunities to work from observation and your imagination as you develop your own visual storyteling style. No experience necessary – curiosity and a love of stories are the only ingredients needed. Colette will support you on your journey whatever your starting point. Book via Highham Hall
